November Reflections from Lois Hermann
Welcome to November! The days are shorter, the leaves are swirling in the wind, and the air carries that crisp reminder of seasonal change. Meanwhile, stores are already getting dressed for Christmas! Tis the season of letting go, preparation for celebration, and hibernation. For many, it is also the season of stress, sickness, and sorrow. So, what’s a high-vibe soul to do?
Let’s start with what we can joyfully embrace:
- Honor your favorite traditions. Whatever fills your heart with joy—do it!
- Celebrate time with loved ones. Gather with friends or family and gently limit time with those who drain your light.
- Nurture your well-being. Choose nourishing foods, restful sleep, and quiet moments in nature to recharge your energy.
Consider what might be ready for change:
- If it causes stress—stop it! Simplify wherever or whenever possible.
- If it makes you sick—stop it! Too much sugar, alcohol, or spending doesn’t serve your spirit or body.
- If it stretches your time or budget—stop it! Scale back to what feels peaceful and true.
And now, what can you choose to do for yourself?
- Start a new tradition. Follow your creativity and intuition.
- Give secretly. Share kindness with someone in need, expecting nothing in return.
- Create fresh, joyful memories. Let laughter and gratitude lead the way.
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, may we embrace gratitude and delight—regardless of our positions, politics, or differing perspectives.
Be at peace with yourself first… then with all others.
Blessings of Gratitude & Peace,
Lois
